The Common Sense Advisory firm released a report titled “The Language Services Market: 2017.” The report lists ISI Translation Services as a top-grossing language service provider in the US$43.08 billion global market for outsourced language services and technology. Proudly, ISI was named the 61st largest language service provider in the world, and 15th largest in North America.

Report Process

The research completed to release this report was survey based. Common Sense Advisory surveyed language service providers on all continents and asked for actual reported revenue for 2015, 2016 and estimates for 2017. The research also concluded that the need for the industry’s services and technology continues and is growing at a rate of 6.97%. This rate grew from last year’s 5.52%.

ISI Translation Services’ Growth and Appreciation

ISI started translating when the typewriter was considered high tech. Today, ISI is able to provide full-service language and localization services with an expert global team of linguists. “This is an extraordinary honor for our team and a tribute to both our Los Angeles-based localization team and our network of linguists around the globe,” said Michael Bearden, President, ISI. “We have long been committed to achieving the right blend of high tech and high touch, a balance that has fueled our growth since inception. We’ve never lost sight of the importance of cultural context in developing customized localization solutions for our clients, and this vote of confidence from Common Sense Advisory affirms that approach.”

Notes from Common Sense Advisory

As businesses continue to provide their services and products in many languages, the firm forecasts that the industry will continue to grow. In fact, they predict the industry will grow to US$47.46 billion by 2021. “The sheer number of countries, people, and languages – many of them in markets experiencing tremendous economic growth – assures that demand for language services will only increase over time. As our research conclusively demonstrates, people are much more likely to purchase products in their own language. In addition, localization reduces customer care costs and increases brand loyalty,” explains Don DePalma, CSA Research’s founder and Chief Strategy Officer.

We are proud to announce this honor, but are more proud of the hard work by our employees that have made this possible. Take a look at our services page to see what full service language solutions our team can provide for you.
